How we got our name

The name “Reah” came to me back in February of this year —

It started with a feeling of frustration, stagnancy… realizing I had held the same identity & patterns of being within my agency (Free Energy Collective) for 5 YEARS 🥵

It was such a blessing & learning experience to go from engineering school to launching my photo + video business right out of college. I traveled the world, I experimented, & I learned A LOT.

I’m so grateful for every experience I had that got me here, AND, by the time I arrived in 2023 I knew it was time for a change.

I began creating mood boards &myself in the new visual identity of the brand back in February, flowing & opening myself to the vision.

All i knew is I wanted the new wave to hold more artistic expression, intentionality, & emotion within our storytelling. To flow.

I took a break mid-process and went to a yoga class (
@lisamarie_parente ‘s to be particular 😉💫)

I had been contemplating the new name for so long & nothing was resonating. So I let go completely and immersed myself in the flow.

As I surrendered, by the time we were in savasana — letters started visually floating into my awareness.

My body would say yes or no to certain letters, until suddenly I was left with r•e•a•h

“reah”

I liked the sound of it 🤩 but I thought it was strange, I had never heard that word before, it didn’t even sound like a real word to me, funny…

As soon as I left the yoga class I turned my phone back on and googled the word — google told me it means “to flow”

…. 😨😵🥵🥹🫠😭🤍💫✨

I smiled so big. There she was. Here we are.

I spent the spring executing some of the biggest projects of my life, and I knew I would have to wait until late summer to fully birth Reah into the world.

But I saw her. I held her. I let the vision develop me in the process.

And then I moved.

So for all the backend work I’ve been putting in for the past month — she’s finally ready to be seen 🥰

Welcome to the new era 🤍
